For those of us who have been digital
scrapping for a while, there comes the day where we have so
many
files that we begin to lose track of what we have and don't
have. Contact sheets are a wonderful way to
keep track! And for those of you are just beginning, this
will help get you started on the path of organization!
Keeping this information in a notebook,
especially when coupled with the wonderful CD holders that
are available to use in binders, is a valuable resource. You
then can know at a glance what you have and what
CD or DVD to check to find the specific set or elements that
you would like to use. Below you will find the methods to
use to create contact sheets for a variety of programs.

Creating Contact Sheets In:
Windows XP:
In Windows Explorer, select the folder you
want to use to create a contact sheet. Select
all images. (Ctrl-A). Right click> select
Preview from the menu. You will now see the
first selected image. Click on the printer icon
at the bottom of the screen. Click Next to open
the Photo Printing Wizard.
Click Select All and then next. Select the
printer from the printer list and click Next.
From the list of available layouts, scroll down
and select the 'Contact Sheet Prints' option
which will put 35 images on each sheet that is
printed. Click Next and your contact sheets will
print out so that you can put them in a binder
for easy reference! Simple, simple, simple.
